SableEdit

by Malaclord

SableEdit lets a player select regions with WorldEdit on NeoForge 1.21.1 while the world is split into Sable sub-levels.

NeoForgeServer required, client optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1

What it does

Selections in WorldEdit are normally made inside one level, and SableEdit keeps them there: a player cannot start a selection in one sub-level and finish it in the main world or another sub-level. Positioning follows the orientation of the selected sub-level, so commands aimed at a region line up with that sub-level rather than with the global axes.

The assemble command builds the current WorldEdit selection as a Sable structure. The mod depends on Sable and WorldEdit, both of which must be installed, and it is server required with the client optional, so players can join without it while the server must run it. Optional WorldEdit CUI support, the Unofficial Forge Port, adds selection display on the client when it is installed there.

SableEdit is published for NeoForge on 1.21.1 only, with 0.0.4 as the latest file, dated 2026-04-30 on the alpha channel. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, and its source code and issue tracker are public. The project is still in development, so the author warns that rough edges and breakage can occur.

Key features

  1. Sub-level selection limit

Selections are restricted to a single sub-level, so regions do not straddle the main world and other sub-levels.

  2. Orientation-aware positioning

Player positioning is measured relative to the orientation of the selected sub-level.

  3. Assemble command

The assemble command turns the current WorldEdit selection into a Sable structure in one step.

  4. Optional CUI display

WorldEdit CUI support can be added on the client to show selection boundaries when that port is installed.
