Ritual thingy
by nexusrealms
Ritual thingy lets server owners define data-driven summoning rituals, in which a ritual block checks what a player holds and then carries out actions.
What it does
Rituals are set up through data files rather than code. Each ritual names the conditions it checks and the actions it performs, and the mod ships with default conditions and default actions to build from. One condition checks the item in a player's main hand, and one action gives an item to the player. Another action drops an item at the ritual block's position, with an offset option that drops it one block above the top of the block.
Ritual thingy runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything, and it needs Fabric API on either loader. It is published for Fabric and Quilt, with files for game versions 1.19.2 and 1.20.1. The code is open source under the MIT License, with public links to the source and the issue tracker.
The mod also includes a ritual prevention setting, which is listed alongside the rest of its ritual options in the author notes. The project was first published on 2024-10-14 and last updated on 2024-12-28.
Key features
Data-driven rituals
Summoning rituals are defined in data, so a server owner can add or change them without writing any code.
Main-hand check
A condition checks the item a player holds in the main hand, so a ritual can require a specific item before it runs.
Give item action
An action hands an item to the player who triggered the ritual.
Drop at block position
An action drops an item at the ritual block's position, with an option to drop it one block above the block's top.

Rewards on completion
A ritual can give an item to the player who completes it, using the give action.
Who it’s for: Server owners and modpack authors who want custom summoning rituals on Fabric or Quilt servers, and who are comfortable editing data files.
