RGB blocks
by 2bornot
RGB blocks gives builders a palette of over 16,600 colored building blocks for Fabric and NeoForge, with glass and glowing variants.
What it does
Each color comes in three block variants: a standard block, a glass version and a glow version that gives off subtle colored light. The palette is built around pastel neutral tones and smooth gradients, so neighboring shades blend cleanly in a build. Blocks follow standard full-block behavior, which keeps them compatible with shaders, building tools and Chisels Bits.
The mod adds two RGB lighting update modes. The default mode recalculates colored light continuously, while the manual mode lets a creator apply accumulated lighting changes at a chosen time, which suits large lighting-heavy builds. Commands that control the lighting require operator gamemaster permission. The new RGB Tools creative tab holds the blocks and utilities.
The mod is released for 26.1.2 only, on Fabric and NeoForge, and it runs in client and server environments, so both the server and every player need it. It is not open source and is licensed as All rights reserved. The author notes that a Lost Connection error after updating with Chisels Bits can occur and is worth checking after an update.

How it compares
Block Palettes is client-side only and open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, with files for 1.21.1 – 26.1.2 on Fabric and NeoForge, so a server does not need it. MiniMOTD is server-side only and open source under the MIT License, with files for 1.8.8 – 26.3, and it does not add blocks. Colorful Blocks is a Fabric-only client and server mod under the MIT License, open source, for 1.21.1 – 26.1.2, so it differs from RGB blocks in loader support.
