Retro Vibes
by FloofHips
Retro Vibes changes the lighting and smooth lighting of the game to look closer to early Minecraft versions.
What it does
Retro Vibes adjusts lightmaps so the scene looks closer to earlier versions of the game, with a moodier brightness. Turning off smooth lighting pushes the look further toward the older style. The mod is client-side only, so only the player's client needs it, and servers run without it. It is open source under the MIT License and published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.
