Redirected
by Txni
Redirected is a memory optimization mod that stops Minecraft from repeatedly creating copies of enum value arrays.
What it does
Redirected replaces the enum array clones that the game makes in more than 100 places in its code with a shared approach, which lowers the rate at which the game allocates memory. It is an updated multiloader port of Redirector, and it fixes problems found in the original mod. Both the server and every player need it, since the change applies to both sides.
Installation needs Fabric API and TxniLib on the Fabric loader. Redirected is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across three release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.1, with the 1.21.1 files as the latest on Fabric and NeoForge and the 1.20.1 file as the latest on Forge. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker.
Key features
Enum array clone replacement
Expensive clones of enum value arrays are replaced in more than 100 spots in the Minecraft code.
Lower allocation rate
Fewer temporary enum arrays are created, which reduces how quickly the game allocates memory.
Fixes for the original mod
Problems present in Redirector are corrected in this updated port.
Multiloader builds
One mod covers Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, so the same memory change applies on each loader.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Requirements
Dependencies declared by the latest file for each loader.

Use cases
Long play sessions
Players who keep a world running for hours can reduce the amount of memory the game allocates during play.
Busy multiplayer servers
Server owners running a large player base can use the change on the server side, where enum-heavy code runs most often.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners who want a lighter memory load from enum handling, on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge for 1.20 – 1.21.1.
How it compares
Jasione is a memory optimization mod that is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, with files for 1.18.2 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt; either side can run it, and neither needs it. MemGuard is client and server, with All rights reserved licensing and files for 1.20 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and it is not open source. Function Command Deduplicator is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and covers 1.20.5 – 1.21.8 on the same three loaders.
