Roughly Enough Config Screens (RECS)

by Jab125

Roughly Enough Config Screens is a Utility library that gives other mods a shared configuration screen, so their settings open from one consistent place on the client.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.19.4 – 1.21

What it does

The mod adds config screens for mods that use its library, covering Forge Framework style settings. Forge's register of vanilla options screens is also supported, so a config page can be opened from the game's own options menu. Only the client needs it, and servers run without it. Cloth Config API and Fabric API are required, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 7 release versions, 1.19.4 – 1.21, under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Key features

  1. Shared config screens

Mods that build on the library can present their settings through one common screen instead of separate menus.

  2. Vanilla options hook

Forge registration of the vanilla options screen lets a mod's config page appear alongside the game's own settings.

  3. Library support list

The mod supports a named set of mods and libraries, including Enough Items and JEI-related screens.
