Record Days Survived
by anvian
Record Days Survived keeps a running count of how many days a player has lived in a world without dying, and reports the highest total reached.
What it does
A day counter starts on its own once a player enters a world with the mod installed. The count rises at every dusk and again at each new morning, so progress builds across the length of a run. A single mistake can end the streak, which is the point of the challenge: the player has to stay careful through every night.
When the character dies, the mod shows a message with the record number of days lived before that fatal event. A command reports the current day count and the record, so a player can check progress at any time. Dying does not erase earlier progress, and the record stays on file.
The mod requires Anvian's Lib and Fabric API. It is client-side only, so servers do not need it and players join without installing it. It is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt, with builds covering 1.19.2 – 26.3.
Key features
Automatic day counter
The counter starts when a player enters a world and advances at each new dawn, with no setup step.
Record tracking
The highest number of days survived is kept, so each new run can be measured against the earlier high.
Death message
Dying shows the record days lived before the fatal event, which lets the player see how far the run went.
Day report command
A command displays how many days have elapsed in the current run and what the record is.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want a survival challenge with a visible day count. Single-player and multiplayer clients both run the mod alone, since it does not change server behavior.
How it compares
Space's day counter is server-side required with client optional, under All rights reserved, and covers 1.13 – 26.1.1 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Days Played Counter runs on both client and server, is not open source, and covers 1.20.1 – 26.1.2. Record Days Survived is client-side only and open source, so a server does not need it.

What the author says
Upon installing this mod, the day counter will be activated automatically upon entering a world. Each time the sun sets and a new dawn arises, the counter will increment. However, you must not let your guard down, as a single mistake or a bad choice could result in your death. Don't worry, though, if that happens…
