RaLP

by __Hantu__

Servers that need players to log in before they play can use RaLP, a Register Login Plugin that adds password-based registration and login.

ForgeGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.17.1 – 26.2

What it does

RaLP requires each player to register a password and then log in before joining play. Passwords are stored with BCrypt hashing rather than as plaintext. After repeated failed attempts the mod blocks further tries for that account, which limits brute-force guessing.

The mod is published for Forge, and also runs on Paper and Spigot server platforms. Its environment is a server-side mod, so players join without installing anything. Files cover 1.17.1 – 26.2, and the latest Forge file is 0.0.1-forge for 1.20.1, released on the alpha channel. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only.

Key features

  1. Password registration and login

Players register with a password on first join and must log in with it on later sessions.

  2. BCrypt password hashing

Passwords are hashed with BCrypt, so the server does not keep them as readable text.

  3. Anti-bruteforce blocking

Accounts are blocked after too many failed login attempts, with an optional exception list.

  4. Multi-language messages

Built-in translations are provided for twelve languages, so messages can reach players in their own language.

Use cases

Who it’s for: Server owners who want to restrict access to accounts that have set a password. Players join without any client-side install.
