Quick Replant

by srv_khnl

When a player harvests a fully grown crop, Quick Replant plants a new one on the same spot straight away, so the field keeps producing without extra clicks.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21 – 26.1.2

What it does

Quick Replant replants a crop on its own spot right after it is harvested, using seeds taken from the player's inventory. Wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot and nether wart are covered. Crops that are not fully grown are left as they are, and the player can switch the replanting off at any time with the R key. Fortune still applies to the harvested drops, so the enchantment keeps working as usual.

The mod is aimed at large survival farms, technical worlds and casual play where replanting by hand becomes repetitive. It is a client-side mod, so a server can run without it and players install it on their own game. Quick Replant is released under the MIT License and is not open source. It needs Fabric API and works on Fabric only, with files for 1.21 – 26.1.2 published as 15 release versions, the latest being 26.1.2.

Key features

  1. Automatic replanting

A crop is planted again on the same block as soon as a fully grown plant is broken, with no extra action from the player.

  2. Seed use from inventory

The seeds needed for replanting are taken from the player's own inventory, so the farm does not need a separate seed chest.

  3. Supported crops

Wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot and nether wart are all handled, covering the common farming crops of survival play.

  4. Toggle with the R key

Pressing R turns the replanting on or off at any time, so harvesting can still be done by hand when needed.

Questions

Does Quick Replant need Fabric API?

Yes. Fabric API is required, and it must be placed in the mods folder next to Quick Replant on Minecraft 1.21 or a later release.

Does the server need the mod?

No. Players add it to their own game, and a server needs no copy.

Can Quick Replant be used with the Fortune enchantment?

Yes. The mod works with Fortune, so harvested crops still drop items with the enchantment applied.
