Project: Explosive
by Moaier
Project: Explosive adds bombs, missiles and nuclear explosions to Minecraft, with a workbench for building the warheads and a target designator for aiming them.
What it does
Explosions in the mod keep the look of vanilla Minecraft while adding larger blasts. Bombs such as the Mk 82, Mk 84 and Fat Man can be dropped from the air or placed as blocks that detonate on a redstone signal. Long-range ICBMs carry heavy nuclear warheads on detachable boosters, and a Target Designator marks a location and turns the target paper into a guide for them. Bomb hits damage Sable ships, including ships built with Create.
Nuclear detonations produce mushroom clouds, expanding shockwaves, large craters and collapsing structures. The blasts leave persistent fallout, and prolonged exposure causes radiation sickness, which armour and shelters can reduce. A Geiger Counter reads radiation levels nearby, and Flash Goggles protect the eyes from the nuclear flash.
The mod is required to run it, and Burnt + Additions is an optional dependency that the author recommends for the intended experience. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files target 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 for Forge and NeoForge, and the mod is licensed as All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
