Professional Villagers changes how villagers level up, reset and trade, and adds ways to dismiss wandering traders, for Fabric players who want more control over villager trading.

What it does

Enchantments on a villager level up with each trade of the librarian, rather than sitting at a fixed level. Right-clicking a villager while holding an emerald block clears its trade offers, but only if the villager has not yet gained a profession. Holding an emerald block and using a wandering trader dismisses it after 5 seconds. Traders spawned from spawn eggs are not dismissed.

A librarian can be taught a random enchantment by offering it an enchanted book, which is consumed in the process, and this works once per master-level librarian. The mod also fixes trade offers for selected professions: farmers always offer the pumpkin trade, fishermen always offer the raw cod trade, and toolsmiths always offer the diamond hoe and diamond shovel trades.

The mod runs on Fabric and is needed on both client and server, so the server and every player must install it. Mod Menu is an optional dependency for its config screen. The mod is open source under the MIT License, with files for 26.3 and 13 release versions across 1.21.4 – 26.3.
