ProbeJS
by Prunoideae
With ProbeJS installed, the KubeJS scripting environment gets generated TypeScript typings that an editor can read for snippets and type checks.
What it does
ProbeJS dumps the KubeJS type information of the installed mods into typing files inside the game folder, which a code editor then uses for completion and checking. The mod was rewritten when a major TypeScript update changed the typing structure it relied on in v7.7.2. Its aim is compatibility with the new TypeScript version and, where possible, with earlier ones. Some features are still missing because the native TypeScript compiler (tsgo) is not fully implemented yet, and updates will add them once it is ready.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across three game versions: 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. It is client and server, so the server and each player run it. ProbeJS depends on KubeJS, which must be installed alongside it. The source is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, and the code is open source.
Key features
Generated typings
Typing files describe the KubeJS classes and methods available in the installed mods, with a rewritten type resolver.
Editor integration
A companion VSCode extension reads the generated files, so snippets and typing appear once the minecraft folder is opened.
Re-dump on demand
The typings can be regenerated at any time, and restarting the editor refreshes the extension and language server.
Agent-friendly output
The generated files are meant to help AI assistants write KubeJS code that matches the installed mods.

Use cases
Scripting with an editor
Script authors who write KubeJS code in VSCode get completion for the classes and methods that the installed mods expose.
Modpack development
Pack makers can regenerate the typings after adding mods, so the scripts in the pack reflect the current set of mods.
Who it’s for: KubeJS script authors and modpack developers who use VSCode with the TypeScript language server. Players who only run modpacks have no use for the typing files.
How it compares
Tell Me My Items is a Forge mod for 1.18.2 – 1.20, client-side only, released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and open source. RecipeDumper is a Forge mod for 1.19.2 – 1.20.1 that runs on the server only, under the MIT License, and is open source. ProbeJS covers Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 and needs both client and server, so it differs from each of these in loaders, version range and environment.

What the author says
Welcome to the future! As TypeScript had experienced a major update that deprecated the typing structure of ProbeJS in v7.7.2, we rewrote the mod and the extension to be compatible with the new TypeScript version (and hopefully backward-compatible with the previous TypeScript versions.) However, there are some…
