Players who want their Cobblemon partners to feel more like companions can use Perfect Partners, a Fabric and NeoForge addon built around friendship, petting and everyday interaction.
What it does
Perfect Partners is a companion-focused addon for Cobblemon. Petting a Pokémon, walking with it, spending time near it and travelling together all build friendship over time, and happy interactions show heart particles as feedback. Bonded Pokémon gain extra visual effects, and petting is paired with animations seen from both first and third person.
Contest-style stats can be trained by doing different things with a Pokémon, and each Contest condition is tracked separately, with cosmetic rewards earned through that training. Cool battle wins add to the same progress. A Partner Journal inside the game explains the friendship system, gifts, Contest training, ribbons, Shiny Leaves, certificates and commands, and progress can be shown with simple visual records. Players can add their own contest music from MIDI files.
Installation needs Cobblemon and Fabric API on Fabric. On NeoForge, Cobblemon is required. Perfect Partners runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1 only, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
