Passive Enchantments, by JRTerryModding, lets players put enchantments on gear that turn hostile mobs passive for a period, so caves can be crossed with less risk.

What it does

Enchanted equipment makes hostile mobs stop attacking for a while, and some mobs can be set to remember an enemy after the effect ends. Players gain experience from using the enchantments, which adds a new layer to exploring caves and underground areas. The effect also applies to the player who wears or uses the enchantment, so the enchantment does not turn them against the mob.

The mod is built on Fabric API and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric only, across 1.21.1 – 1.21.3, under the MIT License, and the source code is open.
