Players who want more choice at character creation can pick from over 100 origins in Origins++, an add-on for the Origins framework.
What it does
Each origin in the collection carries its own advantages, disadvantages and powers that change how a playthrough feels. Origins++ is built on Origins, so that mod must be installed next to it, along with Origins (Forge) on Forge, Packet Fixer and Pehkui. The license is custom and the code is not open source.
The collection draws on origins made by other creators, who keep the rights to their work; the authors of those origins gave permission for their designs to be included. A player can read the Origins++ wiki for a full list of origins and their powers before choosing one. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and Quilt, running on client and server, across 11 release versions, 1.18.1 – 1.20.4.
Built-in compatibility covers several other mods, and the mod ships a datapack template so server owners and pack makers can extend that compatibility to further mods. Bugs and suggestions are taken through the project's issue tracker on GitHub.
