Kivi's Origins is a Fabric adventure mod that adds new origins to the Origins system, each with its own traits such as water vulnerability and wall-walking.

What it does

Each new origin gives a player a set of traits and drawbacks. Among them are weakness to water, burning in sunlight, passing through walls, eating paint, gaining experience from a brush, breaking blocks with extra damage, and a fondness for honey. The list also includes further traits the author describes as other things. Choosing an origin changes how a character plays, so the traits shape exploration and building as much as combat.

The mod works only as an addition to Origins, and Origins++ is required alongside it. Both dependencies must be installed with Kivi's Origins on the same Fabric setup. The mod is server required and client optional, so server owners must install it, while players may leave it out and still join. Files are published for Fabric alone, with 1.4.5 for 1.20.1 as the latest file, and they cover 1.20 – 1.20.1.

The code is released under the MIT License. The mod is not open source. A data pack build is also listed for server platforms, and the mod was first published and last updated on 2025-11-30.
