Old Continents Slider
by Fuzilogik
Old Continents Slider adds a Continents world type to Fabric worlds for 26.2, with a Continentalness slider running from 0 to 100.
What it does
Setting the slider to 0 produces modern terrain identical to vanilla, and 100 gives classic continents that float in a huge ocean, in the style of older generation. Intermediate values create hybrid worlds, where ragged-coast archipelagos dominate the ocean as the value rises toward larger seas.
The world type is picked from Create New World, and the slider sits behind the Customize button. The chosen value is saved with the world, so it stays the same for that world. Because the slider applies only at world creation, existing worlds keep the terrain they already have. Fabric API must be installed for the mod to load.
The terrain is built from vanilla density functions inside a custom chunk generator, so biomes and structures behave normally. The mod works on dedicated servers, and it is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Continentalness slider
A slider from 0 to 100 moves the world from modern vanilla-like terrain to classic continents, with hybrid values in between.
Vanilla biomes and structures
Biomes and structures generate as they do in vanilla, since the terrain uses the standard density functions.
Continents biome map
A built-in map renders a 1024 by 1024 biome preview for any seed and slider value in about a second, without generating chunks.
Side-by-side comparison
The map tool can compare generations of the same seed side by side, so changes in the slider can be seen directly.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want older-style continents, and server owners who want a Continents world type on a dedicated server. Installing it on the server is enough for players to join without changes.

What the author says
Remember when Minecraft had real oceans? Until 1.6.4, the world was big continents floating in a huge ocean. Since 1.7.2, it's an infinite landmass with elongated lakes. One of the oldest debates in the community — and this mod doesn't pick a side: you get a slider. Every vanilla biome, structure and mechanic works…
