OceTags

by typoplays

OceTags shows a player's tier from the OceNet MCTiers rankings directly in the game, in nametags, the tab list and chat.

FabricClient-side onlyCustom license1.21.11 – 26.2

What it does

Players see tiers from the OceNet MCTiers ranking without leaving the game, because OceTags includes built-in MCTiers support and reads the rankings through the OceNet tiertagger. The tier appears in several places at once: above a player's nametag, next to their name in the tab list and in chat messages. The mod is affiliated with the OceNet PvP community, and it is meant for players who regularly follow OceNet or MCTiers and want to track rankings in-game.

The mod is informational only. It does not change gameplay mechanics or give any advantage, and it runs on the client alone, so servers do not need to install it. Fetching up-to-date player data requires an internet connection. OceTags depends on ukulib, which must be installed alongside it. Files are published for Fabric only, for five release versions 1.21.11 – 26.2, under a custom license that does not make the mod open source.

Key features

  1. MCTiers support

Built-in support for MCTiers rankings, integrated with the OceNet tiertagger.

  2. Tiers in several places

A player's tier is shown on nametags, in the tab list and in chat, so it stays visible during play.

  3. Quick reading

Tiers can be understood at a glance, which removes the need to check external leaderboards by hand.

  4. Informational only

The tiers are displayed as information and do not alter mechanics or grant gameplay advantages.
