Ocean Breaths
by FunkyToc
Ocean Breaths adds oxygen bubbles and breathing spots to ocean floors, so players can stay underwater longer in generated oceans.
What it does
Oxygen bubbles appear on the ocean floor and spawn randomly in deep waters. Catching a bubble restores 30 seconds of breath, and a player standing next to a chimney regains air at a steady rate. Bubbles are removed once caught, while chimneys and the safezones around them can be used again and again. Collected oxygen stacks up to 90 seconds by default.
The mod targets ocean-type biomes in generated worlds and works alongside custom ocean, river and chasm biomes from Terralith and WWOO. It is packaged as a data pack that keeps its content inside the mod's own namespace, which reduces interference with other mods. It requires the entity scoreboards function to track breathing state, and the mod is executed on the server, so the server needs it installed while the client does not.
Key features
Oxygen bubbles
Bubbles on the ocean floor give 30 seconds of breathing time each and are consumed on use.
Chimneys and safezones
Chimneys give repeated breathing time to players standing next to them, and inside the breathable area oxygen refills over time.
Oxygen stacking
Collected oxygen stacks up to 90 seconds by default, so players can carry a reserve for longer dives.
Deep-water spawns
Bubbles and chimneys spawn in deep waters of generated oceans, including custom ocean biomes.

What the author says
The oceans can be quite asphyxiating. Stay underwater longer by catching oxygen bubbles and staying close to the vents. You can even do your whole adventure underwater. More explanations on the features in the video (french) -> watch on Youtube with English audio
