Observable
by tasgon
Observable helps server owners find what is causing lag, with a profiler that reports on the running server.
What it does
Observable is an optimization and utility mod for diagnosing performance problems on a server. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 9 release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.4, under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and the source code is open.
Installation needs Architectury API and Kotlin for Forge on Forge and NeoForge, and Architectury API and Fabric Language Kotlin on Fabric, with Fabric API also required on Fabric and Quilt.
Key features
Server lag diagnosis
Shows which parts of the running server take the most time, so the cause of lag can be located.
Tick timing reports
Records how long each part of the server tick takes, so slow code paths stand out in the report.
Live profiling
Collects timing data while the server keeps running, without restarting it to start an investigation.
