With Nyf's Banner Patterns installed, a banner can carry new designs that come from letters, numbers, punctuation, and a handful of mob and crop items.

What it does

The mod adds a set of new banner patterns that are drawn on banners in a loom. Alphanumeric and punctuation patterns are available without a separate item. Other patterns require a matching pattern item, such as the Moon, Carrot, Beetroot, Vex, Llama, Egg, or Gem pattern item. Each of those items has a chance to drop from a specific action, for example staying up late, farming carrots or beetroots, defeating a Vex, a llama, or a rabbit.

Installation requires Fabric API on Fabric. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, covering 1.20.1 and 1.21.10, under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

  1. Alphanumeric patterns

    Letter, number, and punctuation patterns are available on banners without a separate item, so designs can carry text-like marks.

    A moon pattern item has a chance to drop for players who stay up late, giving a night-themed design for banners.

  3. Farming pattern items

    Carrot and beetroot pattern items have a chance to drop from farming those crops, adding harvest-themed designs.

  4. Mob pattern items

    Vex, llama, and egg pattern items come from defeating those mobs or rabbits, adding creature-based designs.

  5. Gem pattern item

    A gem pattern is crafted at a crafting table from four diamonds and four emeralds placed in alternating positions around paper.
