NightVisuals NoHurtCam

by NightVisuals

NightVisuals NoHurtCam turns off the screen shake and camera tilt that the game applies when a player takes damage or falls.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.4

What it does

When a player is hit, Minecraft shakes the view and tilts the camera. NoHurtCam removes that visual effect completely, so the view stays steady during fights. The change only switches off a rendering flag, so it adds no extra calculations and does not lower frame rate.

The mod is aimed at PvP play, where a steady view makes aiming easier and keeps the target visible during intense combat. It can be switched on and off in the NightVisuals GUI, and its default key opens that menu. Separate config files are required for its settings.

Only the client needs the mod; a server can run without it and players join without installing anything. It targets Fabric for 1.21.4 only. Fabric API and NightVisuals GUI are both required dependencies and must be installed alongside it. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Disable hurt camera

Removes the shaking effect the view takes when the player takes damage.

  2. Removes fall tilt

Also removes the visual camera tilt caused by taking damage from a fall.

  3. Toggle in the GUI

The effect can be turned on or off from the NightVisuals in-game GUI menu.

  4. No performance cost

Only a rendering flag is changed, so no additional per-frame work is added.

Use cases

PvP combat

Players keep a stable view while aiming during fights, where a shaking camera would throw off their aim.

Players sensitive to motion

Anyone who finds the damage camera shake uncomfortable can remove it while keeping the rest of the game unchanged.

Who it’s for: Players who fight in PvP and want a steady view while aiming, and players who find the damage camera shake uncomfortable during normal play.
