Numeral Ping
by TheKodeToad
With Numeral Ping installed, the tab list shows each player's latency as a number in place of the default signal-bar icon.
What it does
The mod changes how the tab list draws each player's connection. Instead of the usual bars, the latency appears as a numeral, rendered with a method similar to the one used by Numeric Ping, which it was inspired by and can stand in for as a near drop-in replacement. Support for a Simplified Chinese translation and a Brazilian Portuguese translation is included, and the mod also ships an optional font fix pack for resource packs that break the default text, in a pixelated or smooth variant.
The mod is a client-side only addition, so only the player who installs it sees the numbers and no server needs a change. Installation needs Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), and Mod Menu is optional for opening its configuration screen. Some servers restrict the numbers to their lobby areas, so the display may be incomplete elsewhere. The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source, and it covers game versions 1.19 – 26.2 with files for Fabric and Quilt.
Key features
Ping as numerals
Each player's latency replaces the signal-bar icon in the tab list as a number.
Configuration screen
A settings screen built on YetAnotherConfigLib lets the player adjust how the ping is shown.
Font fix pack
A built-in pack, in pixelated or smooth versions, repairs the display when a resource pack causes problems.

Use cases
Playing on a LAN world
Opening a single-player world to LAN lets the ping display show usable values for other players.
Who it’s for: Players who want latency shown as numbers in the tab list while playing on a multiplayer server or a LAN world. Single-player use shows little, since there are no other players to measure.
How it compares
Ping Command is server-side only and open source under the MIT License, so players join it without installing anything, and it runs on Fabric for 1.18.2 – 1.21.3. Better Ping Display [Fabric] is also client-side only and open source under the MIT License, but it covers 1.15.2 – 1.21.11. Ping Display is client-side only as well, released under the MIT License, and is not open source in the catalog's listing, covering 1.21 – 26.2.
