NPC Mod
by asssdff
NPC Mod adds player-like NPC entities to the Minecraft world, with dialogue, quests, custom skins, armor, and villager-style trading.
What it does
Right-clicking an NPC opens a dialogue interface where a player can accept or submit quests, form an alliance, place blocks, or open the shop. Quests include collecting logs, and completing them raises an NPC's level and adds stat bonuses. Each NPC gets a skin from a randomly assigned preset pool, and a player can set a custom skin by hand.
NPCs can wear armor and hold weapons, and the armor reduces incoming damage. Idle NPCs look around and wander. The shop uses several currencies, and allied players receive discounts. An NPC that is an ally turns hostile if a player hits it, even by accident. The mod requires Fabric API and is released under the MIT License. It is not open source. Files are published for Fabric for 1.20.1, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod.
