NOTD (None of the dairy)

by creamers inc

NOTD adds a set of dairy foods to Forge and NeoForge, including ice cream, split pot yoghurt and chocolate items, each made with the mod's own recipes.

What it does

Players can craft a range of dairy products, among them yoghurt, ice cream and chocolate, and eat them for food. The author plans more dairy items in later updates, and the current release already covers the ice cream and split pot yoghurt lines.

Because the foods are added to the game's crafting system, they can be produced in a standard survival world without special blocks. The author recommends pairing the mod with Enough Items, a recipe viewer, to look up how each product is made. NOTD is published for Forge and NeoForge across five release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.1, under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

The mod runs on the client and the server, so both need it. The latest Forge file is 1.0.0 for 1.20.1, released 2024-06-04, and the latest NeoForge file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.1, released 2025-01-08.

Key features

  1. Ice cream

Ice cream is one of the dairy foods the mod adds, available as a craftable food item.

  2. Split pot yoghurt

Split pot yoghurt is added as its own dairy product with a separate recipe from the other items.

  3. Multiple dairy products

Several dairy items, including yoghurt and chocolate foods, extend the food options in survival.

  4. Planned additions

The author says more dairy products are planned for future updates, so the list of items is expected to grow.

Use cases

Food variety in survival

Players who want more food types than vanilla offers can craft dairy items as an extra source of meals.

Recipe lookup with Enough Items

Players who want to check how a dairy product is made can pair the mod with Enough Items, which shows recipes in game.

Who it’s for: Players who want extra dairy foods in a Forge or NeoForge survival world, and server owners who want the same food list for all players.
