Nota is a server-side library for playing NBS note block song files, a port of the NoteBlock API for Fabric and Quilt.

What it does

The library reads songs saved in the .nbs format, the file type Note Block Studio exports, and plays them with note block sounds. A song has to be loaded before it can be used. Songs can be converted from MIDI to .nbs with Note Block Studio, and new songs can be composed in Note Block Studio and exported as .nbs files.

Nota is a port of the NoteBlock API. The author describes the port as a partial replica, with some features missing or unfinished. It only needs to run on the server, so it works in singleplayer worlds and on multiplayer servers, and players join without installing it. Nota is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt, with the 0.1.0+1.19.4 build covering 1.19.4 and the game versions 1.19 – 1.19.4.
