No Enchant Block
by michaelo
Enchanting areas can be decorated with a wider range of blocks, and the enchanting table keeps its maximum level enchantments with carpeted floors, through No Enchant Block.
What it does
The data pack expands the list of blocks that can be placed around an enchanting table without blocking the bookshelves next to it. Vanilla allows only a handful of decorations in that space, and this pack adds blocks that do not have a full-block hitbox, with reasonable holes in their textures so they do not interfere with the table. Slabs and stairs cannot be included, because the way they are placed cannot be determined from the data pack format.
No Enchant Block is a data pack, released for the 1.20 – 1.21.3 range across 11 release versions. The Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt builds of the 2.1.1+mod file target 1.21.3 and were published on 2024-10-29. Modded blocks are supported through the default Minecraft tags, such as fences, signs and blocks, but some mod-specific tags have to be added individually. The server must run the pack, while players may skip it and still join. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source.
