no attack cooldown & damage delay
No attack cooldown & damage delay removes the attack cooldown, so hits can land without waiting for the damage timer to clear.
What it does
Normally a player must wait for an attack cooldown to recharge before the next full-strength hit. This NeoForge mod removes that cooldown, and with it the delay before damage registers, so each attack can land at once. Behaviors that depend on the delay are listed in the configuration file, where each one can be switched on or off as needed. Builds cover 1.20.2 – 26.3, and the mod is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2.0 or later; it is open source.
Key features
Attack cooldown removed
Attacks are no longer gated by the recharge timer, so repeated hits can follow one another quickly.
Damage delay removed
Damage is applied without the wait that the timer adds, so hits register immediately.
Configurable behaviors
Vanilla damage behaviors that rely on the delay are listed in the config file and can be toggled individually.
