New World Of Color

by AvengingCondor

New World Of Color adds sixteen new dye colors to the vanilla palette, with blocks, items and recipes that use them.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1

What it does

The mod extends the dye system with sixteen colors that are missing from vanilla Minecraft. Each new dye is crafted from basic dyes, so Crimson is made from Red and Black, Teal from Blue and Green, and Vermilion from Red and Orange. Some dyes come from other sources: Crimson Roots give a dye through crafting, and Honeycomb gives one through smelting. Recipes appear in the recipe book once the ingredients are collected.

The new colors are meant to stay usable alongside vanilla content. Dyes can be applied to leather and wolf armor, pet collars and llama carpets, and villagers accept a bed in a new shade as a home. Text signs dyed with a new dye use the closest available vanilla color, and a dye that exactly matches a vanilla one is used as that color. The mod runs on NeoForge for 1.21.1 and needs to be installed on both the client and the server.

Installation needs only NeoForge for 1.21.1. The source code and the issue tracker are public, and the code is released under the MIT License, so the project is open source. The first build, 0.1.0, was published on 2025-09-07 as a beta file.
