*NEW* VM computers
With *NEW* VM computers, players build working computer virtual machines inside Minecraft, a fan-made port of the original VM computers project by Delta2Force.
What it does
A virtual machine runs inside the game. Players craft an Ordering Tablet to order the parts they need, then place a PC case and monitor. A computer starts without a hard drive or ISO inserted, and the keyboard and mouse are currently decorative. Virtual hard drives are created from the use button, and existing drives are stored in the vm computers folder inside .minecraft. Disk images for installing an operating system are kept in an isos folder in the same place.
The port is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source. Files exist for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6 and for 1.21.1, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need the mod. On Fabric it depends on Fabric API, and Forgified Fabric API can be installed in its place. Problems with the port can be reported through its GitHub issue tracker.
