Nebusic Engine

by NebulaCommunity

Nebusic Engine is a Fabric music engine for Minecraft that plays MP3 files from the config folder, built for servers that run events, maps and custom experiences.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1

What it does

The engine uses the WATERMEDIA multimedia binaries and API to play audio files, so songs placed in the config folder can be loaded directly in MP3 format. Playback is controlled from an in-game menu that offers play, pause, resume and stop buttons, volume control, seeking forward or back, and manual adjustment of a song's duration. Tracks played from the menu are synchronized for every connected player, which suits boss fights, cutscenes, minigames and other scripted moments.

Nebusic Engine also stores a song's configuration as a preset. A preset can hold the selected track, its duration, volume, fade-in and fade-out effects, and commands placed on its timeline, such as a command that fires after a set number of seconds of playback. Presets let a scene be prepared ahead of time and replayed the same way each time. Environment: client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. The mod is published for Fabric and 1.21.1 only, with 1.0.0 as the latest file, and is licensed as All rights reserved.

Questions

Does Nebusic Engine need WATERMEDIA?

Yes. WATERMEDIA: Multimedia Binaries and WATERMeDIA: Multimedia API are both required dependencies, and the engine plays audio through them.

Must the server have Nebusic Engine installed?

Yes. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.

Which Minecraft version does Nebusic Engine support?

Only 1.21.1. The Fabric file 1.0.0 is published for that version.
