Narcisso's Spawner

by NarcissoOrigin

Narcisso's Spawner adds the Spawner Core, an uncraftable item that modpack makers can use to control how players get vanilla Spawners.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

Players pair one Spawner Core with a set of scarce vanilla drops and blocks to craft exactly two vanilla Spawners. Because the recipe depends on endgame materials, the price of a Spawner stays tied to the progression a pack sets.

The mod is written for modpack creators and server administrators. It gives them full control over the spawner economy: they decide how hard the Spawner Core is to obtain, and the mod handles the rest. The Spawner Core can be placed in FTB Quests reward tables, custom NPC trades and server shops, and the recipe can be changed later with KubeJS or CraftTweaker.

The mod runs on Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1 only, with version 1.0.0 as the latest file, published on 2026-08-06 under the MIT License. Its files are not open source. Both the server and every player need the mod, because the environment is client and server.

Use cases

Endgame rewards

A pack can grant the Spawner Core as a final quest reward, so players reach spawners after their progression work.

Server economies

Server owners can sell Spawner Core items in shops, tying spawner access to the server's economy.

Who it’s for: The mod is aimed at modpack creators and server administrators who want to decide how players obtain vanilla Spawners. Players who only join a server that runs it do not need to plan around it beyond installing the mod.

How it compares

Full comparison

Talona's Craftable Spawn Eggs And Spawner is also a Forge option for 1.20.1 that is client and server, but it is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. SearchableFTBQuests works on the same Forge 1.20.1 build, is client and server and is open source under the MIT License, so it can sit next to Narcisso's Spawner in a quest-based pack.
