Multiplayer Tabs
by NovaWu
Multiplayer Tabs adds a row of category tabs above the multiplayer server list, so servers can be grouped and filtered in one click.
What it does
Players create their own categories, such as Survival, Minigames, SMPs or Friends, and assign servers to them. Clicking a tab shows only the servers in that category, and clicking it again returns to the full All list. Categories can be renamed, reordered and deleted, which keeps a long server list manageable.
The tabs sit in the existing multiplayer screen, and a dedicated management screen handles the organizing. Arrow buttons scroll the tab row when there are more tabs than fit on screen. Settings are changed in game, through Mod Menu and Cloth Config. The mod is client-side only, so it changes nothing on the server side and servers do not need it. It is published for Fabric only, across 7 release versions, 1.21.4 – 26.3, and the code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Multiplayer Tabs requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API. Mod Menu is optional and adds a configuration button for the mod's settings.
Key features
Custom category tabs
Players add, rename, reorder and delete tabs to match how they group their servers.
One-click filtering
Selecting a tab hides every server outside that category, and selecting it again restores the full list.
Dedicated management screen
A separate panel lets players assign and organize servers without leaving the multiplayer menu.
Tab navigation arrows
Arrow buttons move along the tab row, so a long set of categories stays reachable on a small window.
Native-looking interface
The active tab shows a green highlight, and the tabs use the vanilla style of the multiplayer screen.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who keep many saved multiplayer servers and want to group them by type or by friends. The mod matters only to the client, so server owners have no setup to do.
How it compares
ServerTabs (TMFS) is also a Fabric, client-side only mod, open source under the MIT License, with builds for 1.21.11 – 26.2. Chat Tabs is client-side only as well, released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only for 1.21.11 – 26.2, and it sorts chat rather than the server list. Multiplayer Tabs is released under All rights reserved, so its code is not open source, and it covers 1.21.4 – 26.3.
