With MoreTrees installed, new biomes, tree species and wood types join the world, each with slabs, stairs, doors and fences.
What it does
MoreTrees adds new biomes that generate in the world, including a broadleaf forest and a maple forest, along with the trees that grow in them. The tree species are Chestnut, Beech and Maple, and each one brings its own wood type. Wood types come with variants such as slabs, stairs, doors and fences, so the new timber can be used in building as well as for decoration.
The mod also adds food and crafting material from these trees. Roasted chestnut is cooked from chestnuts, and maple trees give sap that a collector gathers and turns into maple syrup. Builders who want something new to explore can use the biomes and wood types as a base for their own structures.
MoreTrees is published for Fabric and NeoForge, with builds for 26.2 and the 1.21.11 – 26.2 range. It is released under the MIT License, and the code is open source. Client and server both need it, so the server and every player install the mod.
