More Carpets adds carpet blocks with functional effects, from insulating and waterlogged carpets to magma, honey, slime and ice variants.
What it does
Carpets in More Carpets are not only decoration. Some of them change how the block above or below behaves: a magma carpet creates a downward bubble column that damages entities standing over it, while soul sand and soul soil carpets create an upward bubble column and work with soul speed. Functional carpets can be waterlogged and provide insulation to the block surface below them.
Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric only, and the 1.0.0 file targets 1.19.2, released on 2022-11-16. The mod is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public. Installation on a Fabric server requires Fabric API.

Functional Slabs is also a Fabric mod with functional blocks, but it is for 26.2 only and is released under the MIT License. Carpet Variants covers Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.16.5 – 1.21.7 under the MIT License, so it reaches more loaders and versions than More Carpets, which targets Fabric and 1.19.2 alone.
