More Beautiful Pressure Plates adds around 240 new pressure plates to Minecraft, each one built from a vanilla block's texture.

What it does

Each new plate takes its look from a vanilla block, so a plate can match stone, wood, glass or other decorative blocks. Some plates emit light like the blocks they copy, and the set includes variants such as Fire, Soul, Lava and Nether Portal pressure plates. Textures can be overridden with resource packs as usual, and the mod is compatible with resource packs.

To craft a new plate, a player first makes a Pressure Plate Frame and then combines it with the block texture they want, following the same pattern as the vanilla pressure plate recipe. Some plates need particular ingredients, and Enough Items (JEI) shows the recipe for each one. Installation requires Blackwolf Library, and the mod runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with the latest build for 26.3.

The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Its first public release came on 2023-09-21, and the most recent update is dated 2026-10-12. Builds cover game versions 1.20.1 – 26.3, with 11 release versions in total.
