Mob Picker

by SolemCell

Mob Picker lets a player trap mobs and other players inside an item, then place them back down wherever they choose.

ForgeClient and serverCreative Commons Attribution No Derivatives 4.01.20.1

What it does

A player captures a target by right-clicking it, and the captured entity is stored inside the item. The item can then be set down again at any spot, including onto the block the player is looking at. The mod is for Forge 1.20.1 and needs both the server and every player to have it installed, since captures happen on both sides of the connection.

Key features

  1. Capturing mobs

Right-clicking a mob with the item traps it inside, so the creature can be carried around.

  2. Capturing players

Other players can be trapped inside the item as well, not only mobs.

  3. Placing captures

A trapped entity can be released by placing the item on any block, including the block being looked at.
