Moar Charcoal is a datapack that adds smelting recipes, so charcoal can be made from flammable items that players would otherwise discard.

What it does

Recipes in the datapack let a furnace smelt flammable items into charcoal, which turns excess planks and wooden tools into a renewable fuel source. The datapack changes how charcoal fits into a usual survival run, so it is no longer only a byproduct of wood. Installation needs a Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt loader, and the server requires the mod while clients may leave it out. Files cover 1.21 – 26.2 across 16 release versions, with 2.2+mod for 26.2 as the latest file, and the mod is released under the MIT License but is not open source.
