Finn's Missing Wood adds colored wood types that the base game does not include, made through a salt, bleach and dye crafting chain.
What it does
Players start by smelting salt and crafting bleach from bottled water, then use bleach to make bleached planks and a grim woodset around black dye. The mod is meant to add wood colors that vanilla dyes do not cover, and its author has said the work continues until the set of wood types matches the vanilla ones.
Two later additions follow the same pattern: the Void Aqua woodsets are made from bleached planks with pigment, and a burgundy woodset uses pigments as well. Both sides need the mod, since the environment is client and server. Forge and NeoForge are supported, with builds for 1.19.4 – 1.20.4 under All rights reserved, and the code is not open source.

Salt smelting
Salt can be smelted from a water bucket, giving the first step of the bleach chain.
Bleach from bottled water
Eight bottles of water and salt yield bleach, which is then used to bleach wood.
Bleached and grim woodsets
Bleached planks are crafted around a bleach item, and a grim woodset is crafted from eight bleached planks around black dye.
Void Aqua and burgundy woodsets
Pigments produce the Void Aqua and burgundy woodsets added in later updates.
