MineRooms

by Minhero

MineRooms lets players build the Backrooms inside their own Minecraft worlds, using blocks they craft or find on a map.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

The mod adds blocks in several sets for the Backrooms levels: level 0 and level 1 walls, floors, roofs, stairs, slabs, wall-mounted glass panes and glass blocks, plus poolroom and dark poolroom variants. Players can place them by hand or discover the layout in a world. Light blocks and an electrical outlet give the rooms their fluorescent look, and a killer block and a level 0 entity add threats to the setting.

MineRooms is built for Forge 1.20.1 and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The latest Forge file is 1.0.0 for 1.20.1, published 2024-09-08 on the beta channel. The code is closed: the mod is released under All rights reserved, which means it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Level 0 and level 1 blocks

Walls, floors, roofs, stairs, slabs and glass panes are available for both Backrooms levels, so rooms can be built to match either one.

  2. Poolroom variants

Separate poolroom and dark poolroom wall sets let builders change the tone of a room without leaving the same theme.

  3. Light and outlet blocks

Light blocks and a decorative electrical outlet add the flickering fluorescent detail the setting is known for.

  4. Entity and killer block

A killer block and a level 0 entity introduce a hostile element to the rooms, for players who want tension in their builds.

Use cases

Building Backrooms maps

Map makers can construct level 0 and level 1 spaces with matching walls, stairs and lighting for adventure maps.

Exploring discovered layouts

Players can find Backrooms areas in a world made by someone else and explore them without building anything themselves.

Who it’s for: Builders and adventure map makers who want Backrooms settings in Minecraft, and players who enjoy horror themed exploration. The mod is a Cursed category pick, so it suits survival worlds with an unsettling tone.
