Milkshade Dynamics
Milkshade Dynamics brings dynamic lighting to the client, so torches, lanterns and held light sources cast moving light that fades out as they change.
What it does
The mod lights the scene in real time: a light-emitting block or an item held in the hand casts light that moves with the player. Fireballs, guardian lasers, fireflies and explosions also add glow. Four lighting levels can be set from pitch-black caves to dark nights, and the sky dims smoothly at dusk and midnight. Press J to open the settings, where each of the four lighting features can be switched on or off and adjusted. Controls can be rebound.
Milkshade Dynamics is published for Fabric and NeoForge, for 26.2 only. Its latest files are 1.0.10 for 26.2, dated 2026-07-05. It runs on the client alone, so players install it and servers do not need it. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
