What it does
Midnight Assist adds aim assist for gamepad play, intended to make a console-style experience smoother on the client. The aid works against mobs only, and it does not change how players interact with each other. Its author describes it as a mod written to add more danger to combat through new policies, and the project includes translations generated with AI.
Only the client needs the mod, so players install it while servers run without it. It is published for Fabric and Quilt across 24 release versions, 1.20 – 26.3, and is released under the MIT License, so the code is open source. Installation requires Cloth Config API, Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin and Mod Menu, and the mod needs both Fabric API and Fabric Kotlin on either loader.
