Medieval Paintings
by TheGreatZin
Medieval Paintings puts more than 50 medieval-fantasy paintings into the painting item, with 16x16 textures that blend into vanilla builds.
What it does
The paintings are placed like any normal painting item, so players choose one from the list and hang it on a wall in the usual way. The set is aimed at turning the interior of a build into a medieval-fantasy room, and the textures are kept close to vanilla so they sit comfortably beside the default art. A separate option replaces the vanilla paintings with the medieval set, for players who want the whole collection to match.
Installation needs Forge or NeoForge only, and the mod runs with client and server. Both the server and every player need it, because the paintings must be known to each side. The code is released under the MIT License, and the project is not open source. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across 20 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.1.2.
Key features
More than 50 paintings
The mod adds a large set of paintings themed on medieval-fantasy art, so a room can be decorated without repeats.
16x16 vanilla-friendly textures
Each painting uses a 16x16 resolution, matching the scale and palette of the default artwork.
Standard painting placement
Paintings are placed with the same method as vanilla paintings, with no extra crafting or setup step.
Vanilla replacement option
An option swaps the default paintings for the medieval set, so every painting in a world uses the new art.

Use cases
Decorating a medieval build
A castle, tavern or library interior can be finished with paintings that suit the setting.
Replacing default art on a server
A server owner can run the set for all players, since the server needs the mod to place the paintings.
Who it’s for: Builders who want medieval-fantasy wall art for castles, towns and interiors, and server owners who want consistent painting art for their players.
