MCOverlay is a Fabric client mod that opens a desktop-style overlay in the game, so players can browse and use widgets without leaving Minecraft.

What it does

Players open a windowed overlay during play. Its windows can be dragged and resized, and the interface is built to feel close to a desktop environment. Widgets include notes, a calculator and timers for productivity, and Spotify playback controls. Themes change the look of the overlay.

An embedded browser is available as an optional part of the overlay, and it supports several tabs at once. That browser uses MCEF Modern, but the mod itself still works without MCEF installed. On some clients, such as Feather Client on an older version, the browser works less well than on others.

The mod is for Fabric and runs on the client only, so servers do not need it. The files target 1.21.11 only, with 1.0.1 for 1.21.11 as the latest file, and the code is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
