MCG's Questborne
by MCG-Modding
MCG's Questborne adds quest-giving NPCs, campsite structures and a reputation system to Minecraft, with Quest Points spent in each NPC's shop.
What it does
Campsite structures spawn across the world and are populated by specialist NPCs who offer quests. Each NPC tracks the player's reputation, and completed quests award Quest Points that can be spent at the NPC's shop. The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, for Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
There are five specialist NPC types: a combat specialist who assigns kill quests against hostile mobs and bosses, a resource expert who asks for ores, crops and rare materials, and others who handle crafting, exploration and trade routes. Each type offers 50 quests spread across five tiers of challenge. Count ranges are randomized, so the same quest can play out differently from day to day, and up to five quests can be active at once. New quests appear at dawn.

At 600 reputation, a player can hire an NPC, who then becomes an inventory item and can be placed near a workstation or bed.
