MCDR-Completion

by DancingSnow0517

MCDR-Completion adds tab completion for MCDR commands to Fabric clients and servers, using a plugin that exports the command tree.

FabricClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.16.4 – 1.20.2

What it does

Fabric players get tab completion for commands registered through MCDR, the server wrapper. The mod needs the MCDR Command Exporter plugin on the MCDR side, which writes out the command structure that the client-side completion reads. Both the server and every player need the mod, so it has to be on both sides. Fabric API and Cloth Config API are needed alongside it, and the code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, with files for 1.16.4 – 1.20.2.

Key features

  1. Completion suggestions in chat

Suggestions for MCDR commands appear as players type in the Minecraft chat window.

  2. Exporter plugin input

The command structure comes from MCDRCommandExporter, which is placed in the MCDR plugins folder and loaded with a plugin reload.

  3. Command tree from the server

The completion data is generated on the MCDR side, so suggestions match the commands the server actually registers.
