With MCC: Island - Companion, players on the MCC Island Minecraft server get a companion client mod that adds quality-of-life tweaks, chat handling and a custom HUD.
What it does
The companion mod is built for the MCC Island Minecraft server and works on the player's client alone. It bundles miscellaneous tweaks and fixes, a set of key bindings, and a custom heads-up display with performance changes. Chat messages that repeat quickly can be converted into popup toasts, and chat mentions are handled by a separate chat tweak.
Event music is implemented in the mod, and the package is a companion to the MCC Island setup rather than a standalone game mode. Fabric API is required and must be installed alongside it. Files are published for Fabric only, across six game versions 1.19.1 – 1.20.1, with 5.0.0-alpha.5 for 1.20.1 as the latest file on the alpha channel. The mod is released under a custom license and is not open source.

Custom HUD
A reworked heads-up display replaces parts of the default overlay, with changes meant to reduce the cost of drawing it.
Chat handling
Repeated or spammy chat lines are turned into popup toasts, and chat mentions are processed by a dedicated tweak.
Key bindings
Extra key bindings are added for the companion features, so common actions can be reached without menus.
Event music
Music is played for in-game events, giving the client audio cues tied to what is happening on the island server.
