MapFrontiers
With MapFrontiers installed next to JourneyMap, players can split the map into named, colored regions called frontiers.
What it does
Frontiers come in three shapes: a vertex frontier is a single polygon that can take any outline, a chunk frontier is a group of chunks added one at a time, and a path frontier is a trail of markers. Vertices and points are moved with the left mouse button, and the right mouse button opens a menu for adding and removing them. A vertex frontier that crosses itself is not supported.
Frontiers can be grouped into collections, which can be shown on the map when zoomed out. The HUD beside the JourneyMap minimap shows which frontier the player is standing in, and its appearance and screen position can be changed in settings. The mod needs Fabric API and JourneyMap, and Mod Menu is optional. It is open source under the MIT License and published for 1.16.5 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
Either side can run the mod, and neither needs it. Global frontiers created on a server are visible to every client that has the mod, and a server running it lets players hand their own frontiers to others. The mod is still in beta, and a planned API is published as a snapshot with a design that is not yet final.

Naming areas of a personal map
A single player can outline towns, farms or hunting grounds and give each one a name and color.
Who it’s for: Players who use JourneyMap and want to divide their map into named areas, and server owners who want shared regions on a multiplayer map.
