Magic Sword is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that adds an ancient scroll, a rare ink and a sword that can be summoned from the scroll.
What it does
Players gather the components needed to craft an Ancient Scroll, which uses paper and a rare resource called Ancient Ink. Reading the scroll summons a magical sword to the player, and the scroll disappears on use, so the sword returns to its owner only through another scroll. The sword is described as an indestructible weapon that never breaks.
The mod adds some exploration and interaction to the game: village inhabitants sell the ink, so trading with villagers becomes a way to obtain the materials. Magic Sword runs on the server side only, so players join a server running it without installing anything. It is published for Forge only, with a single version, 1.20.1, and the latest file is 1.0.0, released on 2024-11-14 on the beta channel. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
