Fishing Expansion

Players who fish gain new catches, including special fishes that can carry potion effects such as resistance and haste, along with turtle armor and other rare drops. The mod adds new enchantments for the rod, among them Ender Hook, which teleports the player to where the line lands, and Hooked Strike, which lets the rod deal damage. Sea Lure and Treasure Hunter extend the existing Lure and Luck of the Sea enchantments, and Water Trail leaves a path of water behind the hook. Compatibility notes in the author text mention Flame and the Lure enhancement at level V.

A new structure built from prismarine bricks around a water center holds the altar used to summon the Elder Drowned, a boss that fuses a drowned warrior with an Elder Guardian. Defeating it grants experience and a trident enchantment that cannot be obtained any other way. Fishing Expansion also adds an armor set whose pieces grant Conduit Power while swimming, Resistance and Dolphin's Grace, aimed at ocean exploration and underwater combat.

The mod is server required and client optional: the server must run it, while players may leave it out, although they gain the rod and armor effects only when they have it. It is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source, with its source code published. Files target 1.21 – 26.3 for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and a data pack build is also available.
